Neges Apple: Welsh is not an available localization at this time…

Yn ddiweddar, cyhoeddais dri o aps dwyieithog sydd ar lwyfan Apple/ App Store/ iTunes.

Mae teitl y gyfres yn ymddangos fel ‘The Flitlits’, heb gyswllt o gwbl i’r teitl Cymraeg, sef ‘Y Sbridion’. Mae’r sefyllfa yn ailadrodd o ran teitlau y tri ap unigol.

O ganlyniad, mae angen i frodorion Cymraeg i fod yn ymwybodol o’r teitlau Saesneg ac i gysylltu รข nhw cyn dod o hyd i’r aps dwyieithog, sydd yn sefyllfa siomedig iawn. Mae disgrifiadau Cymraeg ar y llwyfan wedi cyrraedd yr aps ond o dan y disgrifiadau Saesneg.

Dyma sefyllfa debyg i’r hyn a berodd anghydfod gyda Amazon yn ddiweddar.

Yr wyf wedi codi’r mater gyda Apple ac mae eu ymatebion fel a ganlyn:

…’Thank you for contacting App Store Developer Support.

It is possible to add additional localizations for your apps. However, Welsh is not an available localization at this time.

Please feel free to reply to this email with any feedback you may have regarding this issue as we will gladly forward it to the appropriate team.

You can find more information on localizations in the iTunes Connect Developer Guide:

https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/LanguagesUtilities/Conceptual/iTunesConnect_Guide/iTunesConnect_Guide.pdf ‘

Ac wedi i mi gwyno:

…’Thank you for contacting App Store Developer Support about your feedback.

We appreciate your feedback regarding this issue and will keep this in mind for future enhancements.’

Mae hyn yn galw am brotest torfol.

Rydym ni fel Cymry yn talu’r un taliadau i Apple ond yn derbyn llai o wasanaeth.
